Meet Eva Whittington Self & Honey Swihart:

Eva Whittington Self
An automobile accident at the age of 17 left Eva paralyzed and in a wheelchair. So life began all over again for Eva. Her story is a powerful testimony of God’s grace and provision. Today, Eva’ss tory of overcoming tragedy to find purpose and joy in life is an inspiration to all. Drawing on her experiences as a wife, mother of two, Bible teacher, and friend, Eva’s unique storytelling style blends personal anecdotes, humor, and practical applications of powerful Biblical truths.

Originally from Concord, NC,Eva graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 1984 with a degree in music education. For the next eight years, she worked as an area representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. During that time, she became close friends with Lisa Harper, who is now a nationally sought after Christian speaker and author. Lisa has this to say about Eva:

"The authenticity of Eva’s message resonates with women from all walks of life. Her gift as a storyteller will cause you to laugh hysterically or cry uncontrollably. But most of all, she will cause you to draw closer to our Lord."

Although her primary vocation has been that of a wife and mother,Eva has been a featured speaker for Moody Bible Institute, Phil Waldrep Ministries, and Focus on the Family, including the popular “Renewing the Heart” conferences which were attended by almost 200,000 women. She also continues to lead Bible studies in her home church.

Honey Swihart
Before coming to Daytona Beach with her husband, Aaron Swihart, a two-time Grammy award winning recording engineer, Honey Swihart was a singer in Nashville for the past eight years. An experienced and gifted worship leader with a flair for jazz and blues,Honey beautifully sings Hiding in the Dark written by Kaci Shoner (who plays Claire) and Katy Haren (who plays Brooke) in the faith-based movie Steadfast.
